We are recruiting a senior production manager at British Underground Ltd, an established international showcase and events company working in music, art and technology. We curate, develop, fund and produce artist-led UK showcasing campaigns that champion music and the arts at several international events including SXSW (Interactive and Music), Folk Alliance International and SIM Sao Paolo. British Underground is an Arts Council England NPO, working with government, industry and commercial partners and a network of global organisations.

We are now looking to appoint a Senior Production Manager to work closely with our CEO developing and delivering our programme of work. As part of British Underground’s dedication to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion we particularly welcome applications from female, LGBT+, disabled and black and minority ethnic candidates.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven and extensive experience of production planning and event management at industry and/or audience facing events in the music or cultural sector

  • A creative, problem-solving and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to bring new thinking and an innovative approach to the role

  • A proven track record of managing relationships with artists and their teams as well as cultural and corporate partners, funders and stakeholders

  • A good knowledge of new developments in music and a willingness to work across all genres from grime to country and beyond

  • A good knowledge of digital technology and its application in the arts

  • A working knowledge of PR, marketing and digital media

  • Experience writing reports and managing feedback and evaluations

  • An ability to work to deadlines and to budget

  • An ability to work well in unfamiliar and high-pressure environments
